If you haven't tried these - you should!! They are so tasty and with a hit of caffeine they give me the energy I need after long nights with the kids! (they also have some yummy flavors w/out caffeine!)

The Biggest & Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
I love chocolate. No, I loooove chocolate! I seriously can't get enough of it. I think if there were no chocolate in the world I would be 10 pounds thinner. But then I would also be unhappy, rude and go completely crazy. So here's my new favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies - watch out they are huge!
Biggest & Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 cups all purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, melted (I've never used salted butter so I don't know if it works!)
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 325. Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt, set aside. In a medium bowl cream together melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop cookie dough ¼ cup at a time onto cookie sheets about 3 inches apart. Bake 15-17 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheets a few minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool completely

A new do....
It seems like every time I have a baby I get an itch to change my hair. I really prefer to be blonde and haven't been for a long time so I had a friend in my ward cut and highlight my hair! It's fun to have a change and be blonde again - if only it could last (naturally)!

Sunday Stress
I always hope for to have a nice, relaxing Sunday with my family. I always envision us snuggling on the couch, reading books together, watching one of our church videos, maybe writing letters to family. Of course we are never late for church, my house stays spotless, my kids stay happy and are well behaved the whole day and we spend a nice, quiet evening just being together. And every Sunday I get a huge reality check. Yesterday was no exception. I thought Stake Conference started at noon so I was taking my time making breakfast and started baking a cake we were planning on having for dinner. Well, the cake didn't turn out and we were late for church, my house was a disaster and I had a massive headache. Luckily my kids were pretty good at church. Once we were home I started making a new cake - I wasn't about to waste calories on a bad cake! Somewhere along the way I ended up in the middle of my messy kitchen crying. Which was okay because it's been a while since I've just had a good cry! I just started feeling overwhelmed about everything I want to do vs. what I am doing and feeling like there's no way I can possibly do everything I want and need to do. Basically feeling the "mormon mother syndrome". After a few minutes, a lot of tears and a prayer I felt a lot better and we did end up having a nice, relaxing Sunday evening together. Darn those postpartum hormones.

An explanation - if your looking for one...
So I have decided to make a blog for all the posts that go through my head that aren't "blog-worthy" enough to go on my family blog. Why a blog for un-worthy posts? Well, I don't know. But I just want to. And that is reason enough. So here is where you'll find the latest things I am doing/thinking of/wishing for/crying about, etc... Yes, I know. It sounds exciting doesn't it? Feel free to read - or not, comment - or not. No promises on how often it will be updated, how many pictures will be posted, or that the content will be worth your valuable time :)
